I'm Torey. I write things. These days, I'm a Minneapolis-based freelance reporter with bylines in places like Glamour.com, Public Radio International, Bustle, Refinery29, Teen Vogue and The Lily, a new site published by The Washington Post. I also contribute to Comstock's magazine, a regional business publication in Sacramento. Much of my work focuses on women in politics, but I like tackling a range of topics.
In past professional lives, I worked as a digital editor for a group of 11 NBC Owned Television Stations and a political reporter at The Sacramento Bee. I've covered congressional and gubernatorial races, state and federal policy, and five national political conventions. I recently moved from Brooklyn to Minneapolis with my husband and a poorly behaved golden retriever.
